Outfit: Every Witch Way

DSC_0029.jpg

This weekend, instead of taking pictures of myself in the woods like a weirdo, I got to spend a morning having an amazing photo sesh with two of the baddest blogger babes in Chicago!  Emily of Thoroughly Modern Emily and Mariam of The Petite Bijou came out to this incredible Tudor-style estate for fun, photos, and just a little bit of magic.

Hanging out with these ladies was a total blast!  Emily and I had already met before, but it was the first time we got to see Mariam in real life–even so, it was like we were old friends already.  I guess months of chatting in the blogging world will do that for you!

We decided to get dressed up in our very best black duds for a little bit of a witchy theme, and I love what Emily and Mariam came up with.  Emily’s boots put a spell on me, and Mariam’s glasses are just enchanting!  (Sorry not sorry for the puns.)

While we got lots of great shots, we would have spent all morning taking pictures, except a wedding party started streaming into the gardens for their own professional pictures.  Instead, the three of us ducked out and had ourselves some witchy brews at the local cafe.  Too bad!  I hope to see both these girls soon, and hopefully next time we won’t accidentally crash a wedding.

If you’re not already a fan of Emily and Mariam, why not??  You’re missing out! You can find Emily here and Mariam here.

  2. This was so much fun — I’m still laughing about that surprise wedding that we accidentally photobombed! I’m also still a little obsessed with the murals in Oak Park, and that pizza from the cafe! Hope you’ll be able to come down to my neck of the woods for brunch and photography soon <3!

    1. YES!! I totally want to come to Hyde Park! And I’d love to walk through the U of C campus–I’ve never gotten to see it up close.
