Outfit: On the Banks of Salt Creek

I consider myself a lifelogger.  Since I was about 13, I’ve been deeply interested in capturing the details of my life.  Back then, I was fairly diligent about keeping a journal, but in the last couple of years, I’ve made a switch to mostly photographs.  A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

This blog and all the photos I take are part of the way in which I keep track of my life, but they certainly doesn’t tell the whole story.  And really, I haven’t been doing a great job recording the rest of it anywhere else.  Sure, I take the odd Moxie picture and post it on Instagram, but I no longer keep a journal, and I think it’s time I got back into it.

Writing forces me to take a look at what’s going on in my day, in my head, with my friends and family, and that means I have to slow down and really consider the world in and outside of my mind.  I get stressed out easily, and I wonder if that’s because I rarely give myself the time to think through my problems. Perhaps spending a few minutes each day could go a long way in helping me chill the hell out.  Besides that, I’m at a point in my life where some amazing things are happening, and I want to remember them.  What better way to preserve my memories than to put them down in writing?

That does it.  Time to grab a journal and get started!
