Outfit: Dancing with Myself

You know, I spend so much time at these mansions and parks that someone should really just let me live there.  Wouldn’t that be nice–living rent-free as a curator/blogger?

I love this particular mansion because it’s often used as a wedding venue, which means there are TONS of spots for good photo ops.  One day while I was walking Moxie, we found this small dancing/party area behind the building.  That’s why I’m such a ham in all these pictures; I was kind of envisioning what it would be like to throw a fete here.

As the evening wore on and my dancing shoes wore thin, the lights in the greenhouse came on and started twinkling–it was so dazzling to see!  I kept taking pictures as long as I could before the sunlight was gone; I felt a little like Cinderella when the clock struck midnight.  Except instead of my dress turning into rags and my carriage into a pumpkin, the worst that happened was my bun fell down.

I hope one day I can come here for a real party.  Come on, Fairy Godmother!

  1. I love these photos. Amazing location. The lights really give it a lovely mystical air.
That dress is one of my favourites of yours! It suits you so well. And your hair looks beautiful in a bun!

    1. Thank you thank you! This dress is one of my favorites, too–it’s been through a lot! Hopefully you can’t tell, but there are little bleach stains, coffee stains, all kinds of stuff that it takes like a champ.

    1. How cool does it get in LA? I’ve lived in Chicago my whole life, so I have this impression that California is ALWAYS warm and perfect!
