With only so much time before I move, I wanted to make sure I visited all my favorite places to take pictures. True, I’m only going a few towns away, but some of the locales I visit for photos are already quite far away. I have a feeling that I’ll be finding some new places for shoots. Apparently, there’s a park that people describe as an “enchanted forest.”
The Mayslake Peabody Estate is one of those far-off places I know I’ll miss, no matter how enchanting the forests in my new town are. The last two times I went, I explored the Elizabethan theater on the grounds and waltzed around the sprawling Tudor Mansion. This time, I just wanted to stroll down the pretty lawns and tree-lined paths.
I’ll have to make a trip out here in the autumn, because it simply abounds with color. I once had a professional photo shoot done here during the fall–not for me, but for my parents’ dog, Zak! Those pictures became my dad’s Christmas present, and they are really something to look at.
But for now, welcome summer! I’m so happy to have dug out all my warm-weather clothes: shorts, sleeveless tops, sandals, and straw hats. I’m doing all I can to keep that hat on for the pictures, because the wind tunnels are quite bad over there. At least this time I don’t have on a skirt or dress that might accidentally fly up!
