It involved running five miles, coping with the aftereffects of running five miles (after a three-month-long hiatus), hosting an old friend at my house, orchestrating a doggy Easter egg hunt in my parents’ backyard, driving out to Lakeview for a combination birthday/reunion party, coloring Easter eggs with my dad, stuffing my face with sweet potato casserole, and getting through the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series.  Phew. Not to mention these pictures, which were hard-won.  I had been wanting to dress up in a tulle skirt ever since I saw this post on Finding Femme, and I figured that a trip to ol’ Mayslake would be perfect for the occasion.  Unfortunately, I picked a windy day, the effects of which were exacerbated by the wind tunnel created by the hilly grounds.  This meant: hair in my face, indecent exposure, and a fallen tripod. BUT once I took refuge in the gorgeous Tudor doorways of the mansion, things turned around.  I had so much fun swishing around in that skirt!  I felt like I was in a fairytale.  After this, I think it’s about time I invest in one or two more–maybe one in black and one in pink. Is there an item of clothing that makes you feel like a dream?

    1. Thank you again 🙂 Believe it or not, those shoes are a dream to walk in! I even spent several evenings dancing in them!
