On the day I took these photos, I had just gone to my Sunday BodyPump class and was feeling pretty excited about my blossoming biceps. They’re not that big, or even that noticeable, but for once, I don’t have what I call “spaghetti arms.” The rest of my body is starting to whip into shape, too, and that’s why I was so eager to wear this dress in particular.
It’s only been in the last few months that I decided to take control of my health. I was tired of eating Lucky Charms every night for cereal and feeling under the weather all the time. I was frustrated with myself for not putting more effort into working out. I finally got my shit together, saw a nutritionist, and started taking Les Mills classes, and I feel better than I ever have. Gone are my high school days of eating two granola bars a day (and that was it). Au revoir to my college days of binging at the dining hall. Farewell to Lucky Charms every damn night!
It follows, then, that my body has responded quite well to this new treatment. I’m not really any smaller than I was before I started this new chapter, but everything just feels harder.
SO HELL YEAH I’M GOING TO WEAR THIS TIGHT LITTLE DRESS! AND I’M GONNA WEAR IT PROUD!
